The couple materialized on the plush black and silver bedding, laying on their sides. Disengaging their bodies tenderly, Justus turned the demoness in his arms and pulled her tightly against him, making her the little spoon. Her slender arms wrapped over his at her waist as she snuggled further into him with a satisfied purr.

Jus buried his face into her damp locks, greedily inhaling the decadent scent of her. A heart he’d once regarded as faulty, now swelled with love, pride, and gratitude. His fated mate was where she belonged. It had never occurred to him that this day was a possibility, and yet, here they were.

“You’re mine, Dove. We’ll never part again,” he spoke softly against her neck with a voice full of gravel. Justus pressed a kiss there and nipped a trail down to her mate-marked shoulder. “I’m sorry it took me so long to see what was in front of me all along.” He nearly choked up before he finished the sentence.

He’d been a fool for far too long.

Delia shivered against him as his words sank in. Herculean arms tightened around her when she stared back at him over her shoulder. The sight of her shimmering eyes filled with tears, nearly gutted him. “I’ve waited so long,” she whispered, as a loan tear trickled down her flushed cheek.

Sitting up, he pulled the Furie into his lap and draped a blanket over them. The half-breed cradled her protectively. Soft, sweet kisses met her damp features as an unsteady hand reached up, cupping his jaw.

“I’m here now, love, and I’ll never let you go again,” Jus reassured, before mercilessly kissing her.

In that moment, everything around them was turned upside down. Nothing made sense apart from their union.
